Freedom of Information Act 2000
The Freedom of Information
Act has, from 1st January 2005, provided a general right of access to
all types of recorded information held by Measham Leisure centre and other
public bodies, subject to certain exemptions.
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 was introduced with the
purpose of encouraging more open and accountable government by establishing a
general statutory right of access to official records and information.
The Act entitles anybody to ask a public authority in

recorded information that they keep.
The Freedom of Information Act applies to all 'Public
Authorities' including:

departments and local assemblies

authorities and councils

records, or information held by credit reference agencies)
Data Protection Act 2018
The Data

background

opinions

beliefs
- trade
union membership
- genetics
- biometrics
(where used for identification)
